This paper focuses on the use of color, its properties and its use in Umbanda and chromotherapy.

We know that we, the Umbanda, we deal with all the colors in a special way, different from other religions . Colors have great importance in our rituals.
We found the use of
colors on the tabs, the clothes, the sails and lines of Umbanda.
For each of the lines (see:
Orishas ) there is a corresponding color:
  • White .................: Hopefully, Black-Old and souls.
  • Blue ....................: Yemanja
  • Brown ...............: Xango
  • Green ..................: Oxossi
  • Yellow ..............: Iansã
  • Red ............: Ogun
  • Rose ...................: Ibejis, children
  • Purple ...................: Nana, Eguns
  • White and Black ......: Omulu, Black-Old
  • Black and Red.: Exús
But after all, what is the importance of colors for the man?
How colors act in the body and the mood of the people?
We all know that since man appeared on earth, the sun's rays fed him and kept him warm and the
color of flora and fauna were relevant to determine your mood and temperament.
The science that uses different
colors to change or maintain the vibration frequency of the body that results in health, wellness and harmony is called Chromotherapy or Colorterapia.
        C romoterapia is the use of cosmic radiation (cosmic energy) - which is externalized by the solar spectrum in different colors we know - in therapeutic function of balance and health, as a result of being too fruit of that radiation both in our physical nature -EQUIPMENT as energy-subtle or spiritual.

Lines of Umbanda

Line Ogun

Linhas da Umbanda

A Umbanda que é praticada na maioria dos templos de Umbanda é dividida em 7 linhas. Essas linhas subdividem-se em falanges ou legiões de trabalhadores, que na realidade são campos vibratórios em que agem os Orixás. Na divisão das falanges, as emanações dos santos católicos são também muito atuantes.

A divisão das linhas da Umbanda, bem como as cores consagradas aos Orixás,  divergem de um templo para outro e de um Estado para outro do Brasil. Isso, no entanto, não é importante. O importante é distinguir as linhas para não misturá-las.

Linha Africana

São Benedito também é conhecido como o Santo Mouro devido a sua origem muçulmana. A constituição básica desta linha é formada  por  espíritos que se apresentam sob a aparência  de  um velho, conhecidos como pretos velhos.
Das nações africanas que chegaram ao Brasil nasceu o Candomblé e outros cultos assim como também foi formada no plano astral a Umbanda, que não tem origem Afro. Os espíritos que chegaram ao Brasil na condição de escravos trouxeram consigo a missão de formar no país a religião que hoje abraçamos. Infelizmente, alguns passaram seus ensinamentos a pessoas que utilizaram esses conhecimentos de modo errôneo, o que gerou a deturpação que hoje se conhece. Como sabemos, nas levas de escravos não vieram apenas os plebeus, vieram também reis, príncipes e feiticeiros.  Os feiticeiros, conhecedores da milenar magia africana, usaram seus conhecimentos para formar de modo muito negativo aquilo que hoje é conhecido como Quimbanda. Os pretos velhos conhecem muito os sistemas de trabalho da Quimbanda e infiltram-se nesses trabalhos a fim de perturbá-los ou minorar-lhes o efeito.
Os Pretos Velhos são os fundadores da Umbanda em nosso País. Não existe seguidor umbandista que não reconheça a imensa sabedoria que eles possuem e seu poder em amenizar dores de qualquer espécie. São conhecedores dos processos de magia, das plantas que curam, dos locais na natureza que emitem ou refletem fortes vibrações astrais e acima de tudo, “são entidades de uma bondade sem igual”.
Nos processos de consultas que ocorrem em nossos templos, o preto velho é como se fosse um psiquiatra, que absorve um sem fim de mágoas e mazelas das pessoas que os procuram e dirigem a elas as respostas as suas duvidas, conduzindo as pessoas na direção da compreensão e de uma vida melhor.
Aos Pretos Velhos devemos muito, devemos a eles a compreensão do sentido da devoção por tudo o que aprendemos a fazer dentro da Umbanda, mas acima de tudo, nos ensinam o respeito pelas coisas Santas.

Africana - São Benedito - Branco e Preto
Oriente - São João Batista - Dourado

Essas linhas se subdividem em mais sete falanges ou legiões e essas por sua vez, em mais sete e assim sucessivamente. Existem alegações de que essas linhas se subdividem por 49 vezes, mas não temos como afirmar essa tese. 
Nessas subdivisões, outros Orixás são incorporados, os quais chefiam por sua vez outras falanges ou divisões, como exemplo; Inhansã na Linha de Xangô, Oxum na Linha de Iemanjá, Omulú e Ibeji na Linha de Oxalá.

Na Umbanda o sincretismo religioso(1) é muito forte, sendo praticamente impossivel separar o Orixá do santo católico e nessa situação um santo católico pode até ser cultuado como um Orixá, mas um Orixá nunca será cultuado como um santo católico.

(1) Sincretismo religioso - Sistema filosófico ou religioso que tende a fundir numa só várias doutrinas diferentes.

Todas as linhas da Umbanda são atuantes no combate ao mal, não importando se o mal é gerado por feitiçarias ou não. Os trabalhadores das linhas da Umbanda intrometem-se nos locais onde o mal é praticado, anulando ou amenizando o impacto das emanações malignas lá originadas.

"A Umbanda é imbatível no combate ao mal"!

Se um dos guias da Umbanda, se deparar com algo que ele não tenha conhecimentos suficientes para debelar, ele procurará auxilio e conhecimentos junto aos espiritos trabalhadores das outras linhas, formando desta forma uma legião imbatível.
Linha de Oxalá

A linha de Oxalá na Umbanda é  chefiada por Jesus Cristo e para ela convergem todas as demais linhas e seus respectivos Orixás, bem como, todos os espíritos trabalhadores na Umbanda, uma vez que o sincretismo Oxalá - Jesus Cristo é perfeito.
Na divisão das falanges desta linha, um grande número de santos católicos se faz presente chefiando essas falanges, aprendemos que nesta linha estão incluídos São Cosme e São Damião, Santo Expedito, um grande número de santos católicos que nunca tínhamos ouvido sequer falar e também o Orixá Omulú. 
   
Todos os Caboclos, os Pretos Velhos, as Crianças, os Baianos, os Boiadeiros, os Marinheiros e os exús de tronqueira demonstram grande obediência a esta linha.
De todos os trabalhadores os Pretos Velhos são os que demonstram ferrenha devoção por Jesus Cristo, seguidos pelos demais trabalhadores da Umbanda.
A linha de Oxalá é principalmente uma linha de cura, provado está pelas inexplicáveis manifestações nesse sentido, atribuidas principalmente aos Pretos Velhos e suas mirongas (conhecimentos), onde resultados altamente positivos são conseguidos por eles através de seus trabalhos e remédios caseiros.
Desta forma o seguidor umbandista tem por Jesus Cristo uma tremenda devoção e um profundo respeito.

Alguns, ignorantes em nossas práticas, desenvolveram rituais de consagração a esta linha e se valem de oferendas com comidas e bebidas, como se Oxalá ou Jesus tivessem fome ou sede e nos casos mais graves, fazem o sacrificio do pombo branco para agradá-lo.

Quem procede dessa forma, não é umbandista embora diga que o é. Os que assim agem são aqueles que foram buscar conhecimentos fora da Umbanda, adotando dogmas de outros cultos como o Candomblé ou da Quimbanda e a partir desse ponto a deturpação já ocorreu.
O verdadeiro médium de Umbanda rechaça essas práticas, por ter aprendido com os guias da Umbanda que esses procedimentos são incorretos.

A linha de Oxalá transmite basicamente tres premissas:

A fé em Deus nosso Pai.
A caridade a todos os seres da criação.
A fraternidade a todos os homens.
Linha de Iemanjá


Da linha de Iemanjá provêem as famosas sereias e as Oxuns, que descarregam os terreiros e as pessoas que comparecem aos nossos templos, limpando fluidicamente o ambiente dos templos e as pessoas que lá comparecem.
Os Caboclos e os Pretos Velhos evocam as trabalhadoras da linha de Iemanjá com grande freqüência. A linha dos marinheiros as evoca em menor proporção, mas a evocação também ocorre por parte deles.
As sereias são seres elementais(1) também conhecidas como ondinas. Já vimos algumas nas águas, eram pequenas, com formas e tamanhos de um peixe de tamanho médio, porém, com cabelos.

(1) Elementais - Os elementais são formas de vida energética que habitam os quatro elementos da natureza. Seus corpos são energéticos e constituidos do mesmo elemento a que pertencem.
São seres puros e não possuem discernimento entre o bem e o mal e podem ser manipulados por mente humana inteligente e nessa situação passam a atender apelos e desejos.
São amplamente utilizados no ambiente dos trabalhos pelos guias da Umbanda, que conseguem por meio deles resultados altamente benéficos junto as pessoas que os procuram.
Elemento Terra - Gnomos e Duendes.
Elemento Ar - Silfos
Elemento Fogo - Salamandras
Elemento Agua - Ondinas
A linha de Iemanjá é uma linha essencialmente pura e amplamente evocada e utilizada pelos guias da Umbanda na descarga de pessoas enfeitiçadas ou carregadas de energias negativas.
Na divisão das falanges da linha de Iemanjá, existe a falange das sereias chefiada por Mamãe Oxum.
Suas enviadas conhecidas como "oxuns" quando evocadas pelos guias da Umbanda, aproximam-se das pessoas por eles determinadas e as descarregam de influências negativas ou cargas enfeitiçantes.
Linha de Oxossi
A linha de Oxossi é famosa por ser a linha da grande maioria dos Caboclos. Oxossi é conhecido na Umbanda como o senhor das matas e de todos os Caboclos. Dessa linha provêem uma força de grande poder que emana diretamente de Oxossi.
Os Caboclos, seus enviados ao nosso plano físico, são hoje conhecidos como os caçadores e catequizadores de almas. Deles emanam o sentimento e a força para lutar e vencer qualquer situação.
Os Pretos Velhos também evocam Oxossi em seus trabalhos nos terreiros e utilizam essas mesmas energias em seus trabalhos.
A grande maioria dos trabalhadores da linha de Oxossi é formada pelos nossos índios, tais como os Tupis, os Guaranis, os Tapuias, os Xavantes, os Caetés, algumas nações de índios norte americanos e também guerreiros africanos. Todos grandes guerreiros que combatem e desmancham trabalhos de feitiçaria e magia negativa.
As enviadas de Oxum apresentam duas caracteristicas:

Cantam quando o ambiente ou uma pessoa está bem.
Choram com o oposto.
Linha de Xangô
A linha de Xangô é composta por um grande número de Caboclos, Pretos Velhos e pessoas que tiveram funções ligadas à lei e suas aplicações, tais como juízes e advogados. A linha de Xangô é responsável pela justiça em todos os aspectos em que possa ser aplicada.
As leis para Xangô, sempre divinas e imutáveis, serão sempre aplicadas a todos nós, não importa se gostamos ou não, se aceitamos ou não. Na linha de Xangô, os Pretos Velhos têm grande atuação. Uma das falanges da linha de Xangô é conhecida como "falange dos pretos" e é chefiada por um Preto Velho conhecido por "Quenguelê".
Xangô punirá sempre os transgressores da caridade e fará sempre a justiça aos injustiçados. Não brinque com Xangô, porque Xangô é a seriedade em pessoa, intolerante com erros de qualquer espécie. Seja sábio!
 

Iemanjá, Oxum e suas sereias são respeitadissimas no ambiente umbandista.

Com base nessas premissas podemos raciocinar e constatar os absurdos praticados em nome de Jesus e da Umbanda. 
Linha de Ogum

A linha de Ogum dispensa muitos comentários, Ele é o responsável pela manutenção da lei e da ordem no mundo astral e não apenas na Umbanda ou nos cultos afros.
A divisão das falanges de Ogum divergem muito de um terreiro para outro, mas esse fato não tem importância, a importâcia recai diretamente no fato de combater diretamente as falanges do mal seja no templo que for.
A linha de Ogum possui um mentor e esse mentor não é São Jorge e sim, São Miguel (o Arcanjo) conhecido no ambiente umbandista como Ogum de Lei.
Com São Jorge ocorre o sincretismo com Ogum no sul e no sudeste do Brasil. Como na Linha de Oxalá, todos os trabalhadores da Umbanda têm por Ogum tremendo respeito e obediência e seus guerreiros são imbatíveis no combate ao mal.
Não conhecemos rabo de encruza, quiumba ou qualquer outro espírito maligno que não o respeite.
Os trabalhadores da linha de Ogum  foram normalmente guerreiros ou militares, como os legionários romanos, os cavaleiros das cruzadas, os templários, os sarracenos e muitos outros.
Comparativamente, Ogum é na Umbanda o mesmo que a polícia é para o povo, se a situação ameaçar sair do controle ou se nos sentirmos ameaçados, ele agirá trazendo e mantendo a ordem.

Ogum é respeitadissimo nos cultos de Umbanda.
